Rain-Proof Cooler Covers — Custom Cover Options
Waterproof construction with sealed seams and drainage for evaporative cooler covers — keep cabinets dry in heavy rain and humid off-season storage.
Key Benefits
Waterproof vs Water-Resistant
Water-resistant 600D with PU coating beads light rain. Rain-proof packages add PVC or TPU lamination and seam sealing so standing water on a flat rooftop does not wick through stitching lines.
- Water-resistant: off-season dust and light shower duty
- Rain-proof: monsoon, coastal, and flat-roof pooling
- See waterproof cooler covers category for SKU detail
- Always drain the cooler before sealing under any cover
Construction Details
Critical points are the top panel seam, corner gussets, and hem where water can channel inward. We position low-point grommets on large horizontal tops and reinforce around zippered access panels.
- PVC-backed 300D or TPU-laminated 600D shell options
- Double-stitched then sealed seam on premium tier
- Split corners available for side electrical boxes
- Compatible with ratchet tie-down without piercing sealed zones
Climate & Installation Notes
Rain-proof covers are stiffer than oxford polyester. Allow the fabric to seat 48 hours after install and re-tension straps. In humid climates, dry the unit fully before cover-up to prevent mildew under the laminate.
- Not a substitute for draining the reservoir
- Pair with vented hem if condensation is observed
- Inspect grommets annually for debris blockage
- Rooftop installs: slope top toward drainage grommets
