- 900D + TPU: industrial and extra-large cabinets
- 300D + PVC backing: maximum waterproofing at moderate weight
Material Selection
Start with environment: desert sun → UV-stabilized 600D or reflective silver topcoat; coastal salt air → heavier PU or TPU lamination; heavy rain → PVC-backed or fully sealed vinyl; winter off-season → insulated laminate. Indoor or warehouse storage may only need 300D polyester.
- 600D Oxford + PU: default for most custom residential and light commercial jobs
- 900D + TPU: industrial and extra-large cabinets
- 300D + PVC backing: maximum waterproofing at moderate weight
- Mesh: in-season pest and debris barrier — not a winter solution
Material Samples
For repeat B2B buyers and new commercial accounts, we can ship swatches of shortlisted fabrics before production. Samples help facilities teams approve color, stiffness, and coating hand-feel for brand guidelines.
- Request swatches when specifying a new material code for the first time
- Include your climate zone and installation type (rooftop, wall, window)
- Logo printing samples available on 600D and vinyl bases
- Note fire-retardant or chemical-resistant requirements at quote stage
Performance Ratings
Compare materials on waterproof rating (mm H₂O), UV stability, abrasion resistance, and operating temperature — not denier alone. A 600D UV-stabilized fabric often outlasts untreated 900D in direct sun.
- Water-resistant (PU): sheds rain and dust; breathable hem recommended
- Waterproof (sealed seams + PVC): for standing water and snow load regions
- UPF 50+ coatings: for rooftop and southwest exposure
- Insulated (foam core): freeze protection and draft blocking in winter
